[Clay Day] came in to demonstrate New England/Early American style ceramics with my fifth graders during our historical study of the early colonies, and taught students authentic techniques and patterns used in early American folk art.  Students enjoyed the processes…and learned more from this clay experience than any textbook could provide.

-Debi Bober EdD, NBCT Art Specialist and previously 5th grade GATE teacher LBUSD

“Each lesson has been carefully designed and organized so that students are able to unlock their creativity in a fun and accepting environment…. mistakes are valuable learning opportunities and chances for kids to creatively problem solve! My students have absolutely loved working with Ms. Tracy. They get so excited each time she comes into my class! Ms. Tracy creates lessons that are accessible to all students, using various tools and techniques that most students have never tried before."

— Melissa Hamm, 3rd grade teacher LBUSD

[Clay Day] has provided the students with a positive experience in which they were given the chance to showcase their own individual creativity.  One of the most memorable projects was during my summer STEM class…students create[d] a model of a brain using clay. It was amazing to see science and art intertwine that day.  The students loved it!

-Mary Jane Alviar, 1st grade teacher LBUSD

Our favorite project has to be clay sugar skulls for Día de los Muertos.  [Clay Day] even presented this lesson to my class when we were on Zoom and arranged for clay pick up and drop off so that students could participate when we weren't at school in person.  Not only is Jordan an accomplished artist, but she really knows how to plan out lessons and teach the students.
